Terms of Service

Effective Date: 26 Aug 2025

By using our website/app and placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1) What we do

  • We provide tools to create designs with AI and a print-on-demand service to produce personalized goods from designs you upload or generate.

  • AI outputs are automatically generated and may be imperfect or resemble existing styles. You must review outputs and ensure lawful use.

2) Eligibility & accounts

  • You must be legally capable of entering a contract and use the service lawfully.

  • Keep login details secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.

3) Your content, responsibility, and permission to print

“User Content” includes anything you upload, enter, or generate (prompts, reference images, AI outputs tied to your prompts).

You promise that:

  • you own or hold all permissions for User Content and for printing it;

  • printing and selling your item does not infringe any copyright, trade mark, design right, publicity/privacy right, or other third-party rights; and

  • your content complies with our Content & Copyright Policy.

License to fulfil your order. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce and modify User Content only as necessary to manufacture and deliver your order and operate the service.

Optional marketing licence (opt-in only). If you opt in, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display your final design/product images for marketing (site, socials, ads). You can withdraw permission by emailing support@threadlabs.app; this won’t affect materials already printed or posts already made.

4) AI models & third parties

We rely on third-party AI models and infrastructure (e.g., payment, storage, job queues). Their terms/policies may apply. You remain responsible for your prompts/outputs.

5) Prohibited uses

You must not upload or generate content that is illegal; infringing; hateful or harassing; sexually explicit or exploitative; dangerous; or otherwise prohibited in our Content & Copyright Policy. We may refuse, cancel, or remove any order/content at our discretion (e.g., suspected infringement or policy breach).

6) Orders, pricing, taxes

  • Orders are offers to buy; we may accept or reject at our discretion.

  • Prices, shipping, and taxes/fees are shown at checkout and may change. You are responsible for applicable taxes/duties.

  • Colours/positioning may vary slightly from on-screen previews. AI previews are illustrative; final prints can differ due to process and fabric.

7) Returns & refunds (personalised goods)

Because items are custom/personalised, all sales are final except where goods are faulty, damaged in transit, or we made a production error.
Report issues within 14 days of delivery to support@threadlabs.app with your order number, photos and a description. See our Returns & Refunds Policy.

UK: The 14-day cooling-off right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised (Reg 28(1)(b)).
EU/Ireland: The 14-day withdrawal right under the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU (as implemented, incl. S.I. No. 484/2013 in Ireland; also note Consumer Rights Act 2022 (IE)) does not apply to custom/personalised goods (Art. 16(c)).

Your statutory rights (e.g., UK Consumer Rights Act 2015; Irish Consumer Rights Act 2022) remain unaffected.

8) Shipping & risk

Delivery estimates are indicative. We are not liable for delays beyond our control (carriers, customs). Title/risk generally pass on delivery to the carrier unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

9) Copyright & trade mark complaints

We honour legitimate takedown requests. See Content & Copyright Policy (notice and counter-notice procedure). Email: support@threadlabs.app.

10) Service changes, rate-limits

We may update features, enforce safety filters, or queue/rate-limit generation to protect the platform and comply with model-provider limits.

11) Disclaimers (consumer-aware)

The service (including AI outputs/previews) is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties (merchantability, fitness, non-infringement). Nothing excludes rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

12) Liability (consumer-aware)

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., loss of profits, data, goodwill), except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
For foreseeable losses caused by our breach, our aggregate liability relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
We do not exclude liability for death/personal injury caused by negligence, fraud/fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

13) Indemnity for third-party claims

You agree to indemnify us against claims, costs, and damages arising from your User Content or breach of these Terms/Content Policy, except to the extent caused by our negligence or breach.

14) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for policy breaches or to protect others. You may stop using the service at any time. Sections that by nature survive (IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity) continue after termination.

15) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms by posting a new Effective Date. Material changes apply prospectively. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

16) Governing law, venue & consumer rights

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.

  • Courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction; however, if you are a consumer resident in the UK or EU/Ireland, mandatory consumer protections of your home country still apply, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

  • EU consumers may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
